One of the most difficult aspects of the esports industry for a brand is making it to the eyes of the consumer in a meaningful and impactful way — especially if that brand is not already acting in the esports atmosphere. Companies that want to enter the space range from car manufacturers to soft drink makers, and guiding them through the process is daunting and precarious.
That’s why we’re thrilled to have Joe Heyer to help us out.
Joe is the Director of Esports Partnerships for Spectra, the venue management and partnerships company we partnered with last month. He’ll be the one seeking out the right sponsors for our events and ensuring their brands are integrated in an authentic way.
He’s no stranger to the field, either. In his 15-year tenure with NBC Sports, Heyer also sold partnerships for the Philadelphia 76ers (NBA), Wings (NLL), Phantoms (AHL), Soul (AFL), and the Flyers Skate Zones.
Heyer comes from NBC Sports Philadelphia, where he was a Senior Account Executive responsible for partnership sales of the Philadelphia Flyers (NHL), Wells Fargo Center and the network.
