November 13, 2019 – We are providing 140 Localhost PC setups that gamers will use at DreamHack Atlanta 2019, the premier gaming and digital lifestyle festival happening November 15-17 at the Georgia World Congress Center. The systems will be used in tournaments held at DreamHack Atlanta, including collegiate matches and a Madden NFL 20 open tournament with a $25,000 prize pool.
“The machines we send to Atlanta are top-of-the-line computers that enhance the gaming experience,” said John Fazio, CEO of Nerd Street Gamers. “DreamHack’s mission aligns with Nerd Street Gamers and Localhost by promoting a social setting for gamers to come together and compete on high quality equipment, and we are proud to once again power the event.”
“DreamHack Atlanta features a plethora of esports competitions, all demanding the highest of standards when it comes to hardware. By teaming up with Nerd Street Gamers, and using their Localhost Mobile Deployment Units, we’re sure to provide competitors with the hardware needed to put up a great show,” said Bas Bruineikool, Vice President of DreamHack Inc.
The event marks the third consecutive year of DreamHack Atlanta, a three-day festival featuring everything gaming under one roof. DreamHack made its Atlanta debut in 2017 bringing nearly 25,000 visitors from a total of 48 states and 25 countries. With nearly 450,000 sq. feet of space, the 24 hour-a-day festival weekend features everything gaming under one roof and will be jam-packed with nearly $1.5 million in pro esports tournaments, collegiate and high school matches, a world-famous LAN party, live music concerts, film screenings, a cosplay championship, panels, art, activities, an expo and more.
The 140 Localhost PCs setups that will be shipped are built with the latest tech specs that include RTX 2070 graphics processors and the i7-9700K CPU. The machines are part of Localhost Mobile Deployment Unit, a popup tournament service that allows Nerd Street Gamers to transport and activate esports competitions rapidly all over the continental US.
“Whether gamers are playing to win, playing to get better, or just playing with their friends, we’re happy to extend our services to the community at DreamHack Atlanta,” said Fazio.
